If college is part of your plan, the FAFSA is one of the most important places to start. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is used to determine eligibility for much of the financial aid available to help students pay for higher education. Completing it can help students and families understand what assistance may be available before deciding what college will actually cost them.
Eligibility
Federal student aid is available to U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens who meet federal requirements. Undocumented students are not eligible for federal student aid. Those students should still explore scholarships and other funding opportunities that specifically welcome DACA recipients or undocumented students.
