Start early.

Make college more affordable.

Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars program can make college significantly more affordable for qualifying students, with benefits that may cover up to 100% of tuition at Indiana public colleges. Because participation begins during middle school, this is an opportunity families should learn about well before senior year. Starting early can give students more options—and a clearer financial plan—as they prepare for life after high school.

Eligibility

Students generally enter the program by the end of eighth grade and must meet income-related requirements. The working guide notes that qualifying students receiving free or reduced-price lunch may now be automatically enrolled. U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizen status is required; DACA recipients are not eligible.
